Aaron Nola joined the Morning Show on Friday, on the heels of his complete game shutout, and praised the feel in the clubhouse as the Phillies have run out to the best record in baseball.
"It's been a fun year so far. It really has been," Nola said. "We feel like we're closer than we were last year as a group. That helps a lot."
There were only a few minor tweaks to the roster from the 2023 group, and Nola says that has helped the team come closer together.
"Having pretty much the same group of guys, the same team and the same lineup, it just makes it easier to come to the field every day," Nola said. "It just makes it that much better for us.
"That's kind of rare in today's game."
