Brandon Graham: We can't allow 150 yards rushing
Brandon Graham admits giving up 150-plus yards on the ground is unacceptable.
"We can't have 150 yard rushing [allowed] in no games and think we gonna win as a defense, that's just us challenging ourself," Graham told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show. "I know what we need to work on and I know how it goes in Philly...A lot of people burning right now and I get it."
The Falcons rushed for 152 yards in their Week 2 win in Philadelphia on Monday night. Bijan Robinson rushed for 97 yards on 14 carries, for 6.9 yards carry. The Eagles have allowed 157.5 yards per game on the ground through their first two games of the season.
Former Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox told the 94WIP Afternoon Show that he texted some players, unhappy with the team's defense against the run after Week 1 against the Packers.
"I went and looked at some things, I texted a couple of guys and said, 'Y'all have to be better than this,'" Cox said on Monday before the Eagles' Week 2 matchup against the Falcons. "For a [Packers] team to average, I think 7.8 yards a carry, that's not Philadelphia defense. It's Week 1, but it's unacceptable."
BG also talked about the Eagles' disappointing pass rush early in the season, as Philadelphia has recorded just 3.0 sacks in two games and only one of those sacks coming from the defensive line (Milton Williams).
