Angelo Cataldi joined the WIP Morning Show on Thursday to talk all things Philly sports, and he started with the Eagles and Nick Sirianni, who he couldn’t believe ESP gave an A- grade after last weekend’s win over the Jaguars.
“Do they have drug testing there at WIP?” Angelo said. “What I saw was a guy who did everything he could to screw up.”
Sirianni oversaw three failed two-point conversion attempts and two failed fourth-down tries against the Jags, and while he stood by his decisions, Angelo says it was just another reinforcement that the problem has been, and will continue to be, the head coach.
And that head coach is holding back the quarterback and the rest of the roster.
“Howie Roseman has put together a Super Bowl roster, and the problem is, the guy he has running it is not good enough,” Cataldi said. “I love Jalen Hurts. I have never wavered on loving that kid. He just needs good coaching…last year, he had lousy coaching, and he had a terrible year.
“Jalen Hurts will never be the problem on what’s going on in this era of the Eagles. The problem will be getting the proper guidance. If he gets it, he’s gonna be great.”
