Don't assume that because the Philadelphia Eagles have added A.J. Brown and Zach Pascal this offseason that Jalen Reagor's tenure with the team is over.

Derrick Gunn -- one of the longest-tenured and most plugged-in on the Eagles beat -- predicted Wednesday that the former first-round pick will be with the team when they open the 2022 season.
"... I am adamant as we sit here today in telling you Jalen Reagor will be on the 53-man roster come September," Gunn said on Sports Take Live.
Gunn would go on to say that Reagor is still affordable on a rookie contract (he's due $1.8 million in 2022) and that he believes the Eagles would be hesitant to give up on a former first-round pick after just two seasons. On top of that, Gunn doesn't think that any team will trade for Reagor, going as far as saying that any general manager who would trade for him right now "should be fired."
If the Eagles were able to find a trade partner for Reagor after June 1, it would leave them with a very manageable $1.8 million dead cap charge in 2022. However, Over The Cap notes that cutting Reagor after June 1 would leave the Eagles with more than $6 million in dead cap money in 2022.
Still, there's something to be said for not continuing to double down on what appears to have been a drastic mistake in selecting Reagor one pick before Justin Jefferson, who has over 3,000 receiving yards in his first two NFL seasons. Cutting Reagor would be admitting defeat, but continuing to see him struggle would be a constant reminder of one of the worst picks that Howie Roseman and company have made.
Reagor has 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons.
