DeCamara: 'Too much belief in Howie, not enough critical analysis'

Joe DeCamara went on a mini rant this morning, stating that he feels Philadelphia Eagles' fans are "asleep at the wheel" heading into the 2025 NFL Draft following a Super Bowl victory and fans have "too much belief" in GM Howie Roseman.

"Millions are taking the Eagles' greatness for granted and I am tired of it," DeCamara said on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show. "And the lack of interest in this draft to me is an example. Let me walk you through what I am trying to say here. So the Eagles just won the Super Bowl and we're all in a good mood as we should be! But there's another draft coming in eight days and it feels to me like people are asleep at the wheel.

"Howie's been a great general manager and I think some day will give a speech at Canton, Ohio and I think he is going to deserve to do so. With that said, I am so sick of hearing people say, 'Howie's got this. Oh 32, I don't know any of the players, but doesn't matter, forget critical analysis, Howie's got this!' You know what, maybe he does, maybe he does not! Yes he's been on a heater, no question! He's been awesome! Two Super Bowl appearances in the last three years...Two titles in the last eight seasons. Playoffs seven out of the last eight years, I got it guys. I'm with you!

"There's a lot here. However...they did lose a lot in free-agency guys, they did! [...] Yes! They actually lost some pretty hefty guys that played a major part in beating [Patrick] Mahomes."

DeCamara continued after some push back from co-hosts Jon Ritchie and James Seltzer.

"There's too much belief in Howie," DeCamara said. "Here's my point, weeee the collective can be wrong again. That's all I'm trying to say guys. I know you feel great about the Eagles and you should, but I feel like critical analysis and seeing through the clouds has somehow been lost in the process in the last two months with the team having won the title."
