Joe Giglio has released his 23 bold takes on the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles.
Here they are:
1. Jalen Hurts is going to be even better
2. The loss of both coordinators is going to be a bigger deal than we think
3. Nick Sirianni will be questioned in a big way at some point this season
4. Eagles running game as a whole will be better without Miles Sanders
5. A young CB is going to enter the lineup and become a starter for next season
6. Dallas Goedert is going to have the breakout season that we've been waiting for
7. Offensive line depth will become an issue
8. Howie Roseman is going to secure another executive of the year award, this time through an in-season trade
9. DeVonta Smith's contract demands leak and questions arise if Eagles can keep both him and A.J. Brown
10. The most productive Eagles rookie will be Nolan Smith, not Jalen Carter
11. Kenneth Gainwell is going to lead Eagles running backs in yards and resemble a "lead" back
12. Rashaad Penny is going to end up this team's version of LeGarrette Blount
13. Neither the 49ers or the Eagles will be the No. 1 seed in the NFC; I think Lions will be No. 1 seed
14. Josh Sweat will lead Eagles in sacks
15. Jordan Davis will show why he was a first-round pick
16. By end of the season, QB hierarchy will be: Mahomes, Burrow, Hurts
17. By Week 2 or Week 3, we're going to clamor for Clemson LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
18. It will take less than a month for people to realize Bijan Robinson was not a good idea and Jalen Carter was worthy of that No. 9 overall pick
19. Jalen Hurts has two things to prove: That he can stay healthy over a full season and that he has sustainability
20. NFC is ripe this year to have a non No. 1 seed reach the Super Bowl and the team do that is the team that wins the NFC East
21. Eagles' record through their brutal stretch from Weeks 9-15: 2-4
22. NFC East finish: Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders
23. Eagles final record: 11-6
