Back in studio on Tuesday morning, after wondering why all of his fellow hosts seemed to be picking the Chiefs to beat the Eagles on Monday, Jon Ritchie declared that Philly now holds the best team on the planet.

“They’re the better team,” Jon said in his instant reaction to the Eagles beating the Chiefs in Kansas City on Monday night. “The Eagles are the best team in the world, and we got to see it play out last night.

“The Chiefs got to watch the Eagles pass them by. This was a changing of the guard. You see what happens when one roster has a glaring deficiency that bites them. Andy [Reid] and company, they took that wide receiver position too lightly, and they didn’t make plays.”

The Eagles indeed capitalized on several key drops from the Chiefs receiving core, but Philly didn’t play nearly its best game either, and still came away with a win against the defending Super Bowl champs to move to 9-1 on the season. Last year is a memory to Jon, who says the Eagles should now be looked at as the best team in football.

“What else do we have to do for everyone to agree that this is the greatest team in the world?” Jon said. “There is no doubt about it. I feel great about this team.

“Our team is better than anyone else out there. We were reminded of that [Monday] night.”
