Jordan Mailata says he will not forget what the 49ers said about the Eagles, minimizing their win in last year's NFC Championship game.
"That didn't bother me because I was in Arizona preparing for the Super Bowl, so that didn't bother me at all man," the Eagles' offensive lineman told 94WIP's Jon Marks & Ike Reese on Tuesday.
"Talk is cheap. We know that they're a really good team, but again, once you line up between the lines that whistle goes off that's when it matters. I don't play into the off field drama and all that stuff that happened after the game last year with them. I have no bad blood. Will I forget it? No. To me, this is going to be the next game, I'm glad it's at home. The Linc is going to be rocking on Sunday, man. I can't wait for this game. This is going to be a helluva game this Sunday. Not really a revenge game, but it's a chip on the shoulder for real though."
Many 49ers players, most notably WR Deebo Samuel, have been vocal about Purdy's injury being the reason why San Fran lost the game. Samuel repeatedly echoed this message throughout the offseason.
"We lost because we played with ten people," Samuel said in May. "I ain't going to keep going on about what could've happened and what would've happened, but yeah it would've definitely been a different outcome."
The 49ers have won three straight games and are 8-3, while Philadelphia is an NFL best 10-1.
The Eagles have surprisingly opened as small home underdogs in the game and are +2.5 on FanDuel Sportsbook as of Monday morning.
