Travis Kelce told reporters after Monday’s loss to the Eagles that nothing about Philadelphia’s adjustments contributed to the Chiefs losing, but it was their own turnover mistakes and dropped passes that cost them the game.

Hugh Douglas and Joe Giglio felt as if Kelce was not giving enough credit to the Eagles, who finally solved Andy Reid and the Chiefs.

“He was salty,” Hugh said. “He’s gotta be salty, man. It’s the first time his big brother beat him.”

Joe added that Kelce looked a step slower on the field, and believes he is no longer the elite receiving threat that he has been for much of his decorated career. Perhaps the Eagles likeliest opponent, should they get back to the Super Bowl, is more beatable this time around.

“Kelce can downplay it all he wants. He’s also not playing as well this year,” Joe said. “Travis Kelce looks like he’s in decline to me. He’s averaging 10 yards per catch this year. It’s never been lower than 12 ever in his career.

“He’s also 34. I think we’ve seen the best of Travis Kelce…did he strike fear into you running around? I didn’t feel that way.”
