Nick Bosa was not happy about a 6 a.m. fire alarm that woke him and his teammates up this week in Las Vegas, a few days before Super Bowl LVIII, likening it to their experience in Philadelphia.
"I'm sure somebody did it," Bosa told ESPN.com. "It kind of reminded me of Philly when they had this construction going on outside. It was early in the morning and they were like demolishing a bridge right outside of our hotel. We haven't had the best luck. But no excuses."
Back on December 8th, the 49ers manhandled the Eagles in an NFC Championship rematch and Bosa said they put the "blue print" out for the rest of the league to stop Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia offense.
Lane Johnson sort of corroborated that claim this week speaking with Dan Patrick, when the Eagles' All-Pro offensive lineman said after the 49ers “dismantled” the Eagles “maybe teams piggybacked off of that.”
Earlier this week, 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was asked about the rivalry with the Eagles and said laughing, “I consider rivalries close games. We ain’t going to talk about that no more. That’s over with.”
San Fran beat Philadelphia 42-19 on December 3rd, beginning a freefall for the Eagles. Samuel caught four balls for 116 yards and two scores and rushed for a third touchdown in the game, while Bosa recorded 6.0 total tackles, 2 TFL and 1 QB hit.
