Boston Scott has scored 10 touchdowns in eight career games against the Giants, including one in each of the team’s two meetings this season.
But the Eagles running back doesn’t seem to be keeping Big Blue defensive coordinator Wink Martindale up at night.
“It predates my time here. I can’t answer that,” Martindale said when asked about Scott’s success against Big Blue. “He’s a good running back. They’ve got a stable of good running backs. I can’t answer it.
“I know just because he scored, I don’t think he’s a Giant killer.”
Scott’s 10 touchdowns against the Giants is more than he has against all other teams combined (9) in his career, and Martindale, in his first season with New York, has just gotten acquainted with Scott’s potency against the Giants, but his team did enough to contain Justin Jefferson and the Vikings on Saturday, and he’s more focused on the opportunity in front of his team come Saturday.
“What a great time to be a Giant and be a fan of the Giants,” Martindale said. “I’m so happy and proud of the defense and the way we played against Minnesota. The two fourth-quarter stops at the end of the game, it was just great to see.”
