Known to most as "Ginger Spice," Geri Halliwell has long been appreciative of her experience as part of the biggest 90s girl group turned pop culture craze. The part of the Spice Girls she loved the most however, was the friendship and dynamic they had within the group. “It’s like family or if you went to university together,” she explained in the podcast. “You’re always going to have that commonality and love.” When asked about a true reunion tour with all five Girls, Halliwell gave no promises but was open to the idea. “If and when that happens, that would be a joyful moment,” she said. “For me, the Spice Girls belong to the whole world, and it’s about sharing that joy. And I always love it when I’m with them.”

As for the 90s reunion now guaranteed to happen, "Ginger Spice" had short and sweet advice for *NSYNC: “I would say just enjoy it, enjoy each other.”

Though talks of their reunion may always be swirling, Halliwell is not going back to the 90s anytime soon. While she is abundantly proud of her time with the Spice Girls, Halliwell told the podcast that she is striving to be her best by “celebrating who you are and without trying to be younger.”

“It’s ok to age, otherwise that's another way of marginalizing who you are,” she explained, “so, just be proud that you managed to get older.” This follows the same age-positive message she gave Elle in a recent interview. “My nickname is 'Ginger Spice,' but if I had to have another Spice name, I think it would be 'Gold Spice...' 'Golden Spice.' I feel like this is a new chapter in my life, it feels timeless. It feels good. It feels gold.”

For now, the tour Geri Halliwell is most focused on is a book tour. Her young adult novel, Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen, was released just last week and focuses on new alternatives to the classic "damsel in distress" trope. “I felt like the world needs a new hero, someone ordinary,” she said, calling it an “adventure story for everyone.” Check out the link above to hear the full conversation and what "Ginger," or more accurately, "Golden Spice," is up to!
