High above New York City in the Rockstar Suite of the Hard Rock Hotel New York, i-dle sat with Mike Adam to talk about the latest chapter for the group, their new song, “Mono,” and all the music still to come.

The chart-topping quintet have dropped the “G” from their name, marking a new start and a deliberate, years-in-the-making choice for the group. They have come back strong with the pulsating new track, “Mono,” featuring British rapper skaiwater, and plans for a World Tour.
Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua will bring the 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] to North America in August, continuing their streak of selling out arenas across the globe.
Inside the Rockstar Suite, i-dle reflected on the challenge of knowing when a song is truly finished, noting that the final tweaks often involve last-second decisions about vocal arrangement.
The group also addressed their recent decision to change their name. The rebranding marks a new chapter for the group, expanding their potential and perspective. “I think we're not girls anymore, we are women now."
