Katharine McPhee expecting first baby with David Foster: Reports

Katharine McPhee and David Foster are expanding their little family!

McPhee, 36, and Foster, 70, are bringing a baby into the world, a source confirmed to People.

Foster is a father to daughters Sara, 39, Erin, 38, and Jordan, 34 whom he shared with his second wife Rebecca Dyer. He also has daughters Allison, 50, and Amy, 46, from past relationships.

The pair was spotted out and about on Tuesday in California shopping for baby items. McPhee could be seen sporting gray leggings, a black top, and a bag with her beloved pooch inside.

McPhee and Foster have been married since June 2019, when they shared a ceremony in London at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in South Kensington. They were married in front of friends and family.

According to People, the two had plans to return to London for their one-year wedding anniversary, but the trip was unfortunately postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The two met in 2006 during season 5 of "American Idol" when Foster acted as a mentor to McPhee.

When asked about the age difference between the couple, Foster's daughters explained that it wasn't an issue for them. "Interestingly, the age difference has played a role in a positive way," Erin explained.

"Our dad comes from a generation where women are more passive. He is also passive about his feelings. Kat has really pushed him to open up," she continued.
