Fischer says that as the suspect’s car sped away “blood poured” from his gun shot wound and “a guardian angel was there with him,” likely he means one of Gaga’s dogs.

Fischer was walking Gaga’s three French bulldogs in Hollywood in the area of Sierra Bonita Avenue and Sunset Blvd when he was attacked by the two suspects

According to an LAPD press release at the time:  "Two suspects exited the vehicle and demanded the victim turn over the dogs at gunpoint. The victim struggled with the suspects and was shot once by one of the suspects. The suspects took two of the three dogs and fled the scene in the suspect vehicle."

The dogs were recovered over the weekend, after they were found tied up in an alley in downtown Los Angeles, but Fischer has been in the hospital ever since.

He says that as the suspect’s car sped away “blood poured” from his gun shot wound and “a guardian angel was there with him,” likely he means one of Gaga’s dogs. He adds: “I am still in recovery from a very close call with death and have kept myself (for the most part, I mean I am human) from the growing media story. I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support! Thank you. I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety, and I know they are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice. I am so appreciative of everything you continue to do.”

He adds a big shout out of thanks to the first responders and health care workers who “literally saved my life and helped me take newborn walks, I can’t thank you enough.”

Fischer finishes his post saying that he looks forward to getting “bombarded with kisses and licks (and maybe even an excitement pee?) from Asia, Koji, and Gustav.”
