While backstage during Audacy's 10th annual We Can Survive concert at the Prudential Center in New Jersey over the weekend, we got a chance to play a little ‘This or That’ with the guys in ONEREPUBLIC -- and got some pretty interesting results.

With one of ONEREPUBLIC’s latest singles being “RUNAWAY,” we thought it would be fun to see what kinds of things frontman Ryan Tedder and the rest of the guys would either ‘RUNAWAY’ from or ‘RUN TO’ as a way to get to know them a little better.
Right off the bat, of course, we had to bring up cilantro. Most times, either someone likes the spice or they want to rid the planet of it. Tedder was well aware of how “One out of ten people hate cilantro,” and just about everyone in the room except for one stray soul said they would RUN TO it. (There were about ten people there... WOW SCIENCE!)
Next up... How about award shows? Everyone in the band just kind of shook their heads in sadness, honestly. Ryan said it stresses him out... so Bru changed the subject to dating the same person as another band member. Tedder quickly said he would RUNAWAY, but interestingly, guitarist Zach Filkis was all about RUNNING TO. Drew Brown said the move would be pretty ‘Pop Punk,” and being that there’s a resurgence in the genre now, Ryan agreed, adding “if you’re in a Pop Punk band, maybe run towards... it’ll give you better lyrics, talk to Fleetwood Mac.”
