After first being announce via hotline (213-523-7762) where fans were asked to present any problems they were facing, as promised Nicki Minaj has released her new single featuring Lil Baby, “Do We Have a Problem?”

Her intention with the track, as she told Audacy’s DJ Buck & Friends was “to do something that’s so different than anything that’s out now.” Thanks to the assistance of Director Benny Boom, and “great” acting partner and song collaborator Lil Baby, Nicki was able to do just that.
Taking inspiration from one of her favorite movies Salt, starring Angelina Jolie (whom she gave a shout out to during the chat with Buck). Nicki stars as an agent who is informed about a meeting of top criminal organizations. As he’s being interrogated, Hardrict tells her, “You can acquire rare items that money can’t even buy.” Also informing her of a mole in her agency, and that mole is her. Acting unbothered by the accusations, Nicki gets to work, and heads to the secret auction with her partner played by Joseph Sikora.
“Tell em my nina my b**** she a rider/I got a shooter right now got a driver,” she raps on the hook. “They want that heat I’m the only provider/Little bad foreign b**** word to Fivo.”
As bad guy after bad guy (including Lil Baby) makes their way in to bid on prized items, things begin to look shadier then they already seem.
“2022 I’m coming thru in that new s***/How we ops you see and you don’t do s***,” Lil Baby raps on his verse. “I done really trapped in the Carter, I got the Blueprint/Gotta read department we shopping I like the loose fit.”
And then yup — plot twist. As it turns out Nicki’s the baddie (in more ways than one). After an outfit change her and Baby ride off to Cuba, giving us a major Bonnie and Clyde moment. Unaware of what went down, Sikora catches up to Nicki, but at that point its too late. Putting a gun to his head, Nicki asks him, “Do We Have a Problem?” And though we never see him answer, we venture to guess that he’d go with no.
Last we heard from Nicki was last year when she re-released her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty with three new bonus tracks, and appeared on former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson‘s debut solo single “Boyz,” as well as the remix to BIA’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY”.
But now that we’ve got a taste on new music from Nicki, we’re sure you agree that we obviously need more, well, here’s what we know about that.
During her chat with Buck, Nicki admitted her unreleased stuff is "the closest thing we’ll ever get to Pink Friday 2.0.” Even hinting she’s even “thinking about going that route with the name.” And during her recent visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden, Nicki spilled that new music will be released before summer. So… anytime within the next 5 months.
