Representative Garret Graves announced via Twitter that the Federal Emergency Management Agency would reimburse the purchase of generators and chainsaws in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

FEMA will give residents who needed to purchase a generator up to $800 and those who purchased Chainsaws up to $250.
Entergy recently reported that the damage Hurricane Ida did to Louisiana’s power grid was more than Hurricane Katrina, Delta and Zeta combined.
