Standing center stage by her father’s side at the Vultures 2 listening party in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday, March 10, North made the announcement. “I’ve been working on an album and it is called Elementary School Dropout,” the 10-year-old said, receiving a roaring response from the crowd.
If you’re here, you most likely already know that Ye dropped his seminal debut album The College Dropout in 2004. And now, 20 years later, his daughter plans to do the same.
The reveal comes of the heals of North making her official musical debut on the track “Talking” off her father and Ty Dolla $igns first of three collab albums, Vultures 1.
On the song, North raps, “I love it here / We’re gonna take over another year / It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie / Don’t try to test me / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me, bless me/ It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie.”
