
A New Zealand native has reportedly been spray painting penises on dangerous potholes for three years to bring awareness to the infrastructure issue
Geoff Upson, a handyman, and newfound road safety advocate has spent quite some bucks on purchasing spray paints to scribble the male genitals on dangerous potholes. It annually cost him $400 on the spray containers from which he often draws the graphic designs. Upson has been very concerned with Auckland Transport’s failure to renovate and repair the risky potholes so he found one attention-grabbing way to get immediate responses on the issue.
He has successfully painted more than 100 similar graphic images on potholes, which started after his frustration of untouched potholes near his home in Waitaki. Upon hearing that Auckland transport was proceeding to fine and press charges against him for distracting travelers with his graphics, he proudly admitted that he would be more than happy to identify for his crimes as he was turning attention towards the life-threatening issue that Auckland transport was not giving heed to
