1987! What a year!
Aretha Franklin becomes the first woman to be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Hulk Hogan body slams Andre' the Giant at Wrestlemania III. Michael Jordan score 3,000 points in one season. And Reagan challenged Gorbachev to tear down a wall... after receiving prostate surgery.
As far as rock goes, 1987 was 'The Year of the Come-Back!' as classic bands from an earlier era, such as Aerosmith, Fleetwod Mac, and Heart were topping charts with new music. And let's not for get that there was also this little album floating around call 'Appetite for Destruction'!
And what were the Bayou Krewe doing during all of this? Honestly, none of them remember. Hell, most of the Bayou Krewe can't remember what they did last week.
However, we can speculate, since the Bayou Krewe was able to dig through a bunch of old crap to find pictures of themselves from this magical year.
Based on the Krewe's pics, what do you supposed they were doing in '87?
John Osterlind '87
We can't really pinpoint what Osterlind was up to being that his whole ensemble is confusing. A suit? Sort of a mullet? Teased hair? And we're quite sure that he's wearing a clip on tie. Osterlind was either working in radio, or going door-to-door selling vacuum cleaners.

Kat '87
Well, it's obvious what Kat was doing in '87. Clearly, she's staring at some hunk that she's trying to build up the courage to talk to. But, Kat was probably too scared to make a move, and her crush ended up leaving with the drunk blonde chick that everyone was jealous of.

Young Joshua 87'
It doesn't matter how old Joshua is, we all at the Bayou Krewe know that look on his face. He's thinking about doing something mischievous and planning on using his charm to get away with it. Even at a young age, Josh had the heart of a rocker... and nothing's changed except the length of his hair.

Coleman '87
Here's Coleman, sporting his Saints fan gear in true New Orleans fashion. This photo was taken if him practicing a dive from the top rope after watching a wrestling match on TV. It seemed that he was destined to be an athlete of some sort, but he ended up being a Trekkie and a beer snob.
