Things got a little chippy on "Wheel of Fortune" recently.
A contestant named Jill, had some early-game frustrations boil over into her attempts at the final puzzle. It was then her and host Pat Sajak had a “testy” back-and-forth.
After Jill made it to the episode’s bonus round, Sajak summed up her journey so far.
“Early in the show you did, what sometimes happens here, called a letter that’d already been called. And you were so down about that. You were worried about just messing up the show,” the host said to Jill. “Then you had a puzzle that you think you should have solved, and you didn’t. And then she blamed me during commercial.”
Jill did in fact make a nice amount of money ($27,680) and won a trip to the Barbados. After those prizes came the show’s final puzzle.
The category was “What Are You Doing?” and Jill offered a few wrong guesses and ended up losing the round. The answer was “VOICING OUR OPINION.”
“'Voicing our opinion?' Come on,” she said.
“What do you mean, ‘come on'?" Sajak asked her.
“What kind of puzzle is that?” Jill answered.
“It’s a puzzle you didn’t solve,” Sajak replied. “It’s getting testy here on Christmas, isn’t it?”
Jill ended up missing out on $40,000, but still came away with nearly $30K and a trip.
