Prince’s influence will be on full display during a special tribute concert that takes place after the GRAMMY Awards.

“Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince” will feature performances by an eclectic mix of artists: Alicia Keys, John Legend, Foo Fighters, Beck, Chris Martin, Earth, Wind & Fire, St. Vincent, Mavis Staples, Common, H.E.R., Gary Clark Jr., Usher and Juanes.

The concert, which will be broadcast in April, will feature musical direction from longtime Prince percussionist Sheila E and past collaborators like Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. Her band recorded the Prince-penned “Manic Monday” with great success.

“I was very honored to be able to do this for so many reasons, but to be able to help celebrate the life of a dear friend and be a part of this and be musical director is awesome,” Sheila E. told Rolling Stone.

Prince’s old band, the Revolution, will also take part in the tribute, which organizers say will feature a wide range of Prince’s music.

“Prince. The Purple One. His Royal Badness — regardless of how you identify him, he is indisputably one of the greatest musical virtuosos of all time,” Recording Academy President/CEO Deborah Dugan said. “With his subversive attitude and commanding nature, he straddled musical genres and created electrifying music that was bursting with character.”

Prince’s iconic “Purple Rain” was recently added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. The 1984 semi-autobiographical flick was a new vehicle for his talents and included an addictive soundtrack filled with songs like “When Dove’s Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” “I Would Die 4 U” and the epic title track.
