When fans showed up to see Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters perform his new Dark Side of the Moon Redux at the London Palladium on Sunday night, many were in for a surprise when Waters kicked off the event by reading off of his laptop.

Though Roger arrived a few minutes late for the first of his two shows in London, billed as the live premiere of his new Pink Floyd re-recording Dark Side of the Moon Redux as well as "Other Stuff," the more likely catalyst that caused some fans to leave the venue before a note was even played were his stories about ducks.
Rather than opening the night with music, Waters chose to read some random notes about pets and a few excerpts from his unpublished memoir, Dark Side of the Moon: Memoirs of a Lanky Prick, to the crowd.
Unaware of the setlist, which not only features a live premiere of his newest offering -- his own interpretation of the Pink Floyd classic Dark Side of the Moon -- those expecting Floyd and only Floyd started to get a little agitated. Apparently, Waters told those who were heckling him to “f*** off,” as others could be seen making for the exits.
“One story involved a duck that came to live in the family home,” a music critic for The Times explained. “Another began promisingly as a memory of Floyd’s original leader, Syd Barrett, but revealed nothing more than that Barrett wrote a lot of songs and had an innocent air about him.”
Later on, Waters apparently told the crowd, "If you want to tell stories, tell them in your own time to your own audience in your own f***ing theater. By the way, if you can show constraint and stop shouting again."
Aside from that side-show spectacle, before the actual musical portion of the event, fans were also treated to a 20-minute film.
