Despite the Patriots being 6-8 and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008, the team did get three players selected to the Pro Bowl.
They are cornerback Stephon Gilmore, punter Jake Bailey and core special teamer Matthew Slater.
Due to COVID-19, the 2021 NFL Pro Bowl will be held as a week-long virtual event instead of a football game between conference all-stars.
For Slater, this is his ninth career Pro Bowl, Gilmore his fourth and third straight with the Patriots and then Bailey's first. Slater has the most special teams Pro Bowl honors in NFL history.
