The Celtics wrapped up their 2020 draft by selecting Israeli point guard Yam Madar in the second round (47th overall).
The 6-foot-3 19-year-old has spent the last two seasons playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Premier League, where he was named the Most Improved Player this past season after averaging 8.0 points, 3.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game.
Madar is considered a high-energy, aggressive player at both ends of the floor and an excellent passer who has work to do to improve as a shooter and finisher. ESPN's draft show described as an "Israeli Patrick Beverley."
