With their second pick in the NBA Draft -- 26th overall -- the Celtics have taken Oregon point guard Payton Pritchard. He is the 2019-20 Pac-`12 Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-1 22-year-old played four years at Oregon, averaging 22.5 points and 5.5 assists per game. He won the Bob Cousy Award for the nation's best collegiate point guard.
Prior to attending Oregon, Pritchard won four consecutive Oregon state titles with West Linn High. He would win that state's Gatorade Player of the Year.
