6 rings: What did Sunday's loss tell us about Mac Jones?

Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez has gone through testing following his shoulder injury against the Cowboys, and the results aren't good.

According to a source, Gonzalez suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder. The team and the cornerback are currently weighing his options moving forward as he seeks a second opinion.

During the first quarter of Sunday’s loss, Gonzalez made a tackle on Dallas running back Tony Pollard and landed awkwardly on his shoulder. He was looked at by team trainers and did not return to the game. His shoulder dislocated and had to be popped back into place by the team's training staff, according to a source.

The Patriots' 17th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Gonzalez has been excellent for New England’s defensive backfield this season. He's tallied a sack and an interception through four games, and won the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month award for September. He adds to a laundry list of injured defensive backs in Foxborough, including Jack Jones (hamstring), Marcus Jones (shoulder), and Jonathan Jones (ankle).
