It’s a staple of many a Thanksgiving dinner table and many an every-day dinner table for families with young kids.
But Matt Judon wants none of it.

Asked Tuesday during his press conference at Gillette Stadium for his favorite Thanksgiving side dish, the Patriots sack leader and locker room personality preferred to go in a different direction.
“I’m not even going to answer your question. I’m going to tell you we gotta get macaroni and cheese off the table,” Judon said, building momentum in a passionate response. “All right guys. It’s just cheese and noodles. I’m getting on my soap box. It’s just cheese and noodles. And it’s not that good. Let’s be honest guys, everybody probably here is a little lactose (intolerant), so it messes up our stomachs. And we gotta get it off the table. It’s probably one of the most overrated dishes. But my favorite is dressing. I do love dressing. But get macaroni and cheese off the table and it would be a much better Thanksgiving for everybody.”
Asked about feeling strongly about his hate, Judon kept rolling.
“Yeah. I’ve never liked macaroni and cheese,” Judon continued. “And you know how they say, ‘Oh, your taste buds change every seven years and you just gotta…?’ Every time I try it it’s the same thing. And it’s never going to change. It’s never going to get better. All right. I’m almost 30 now. I’m pretty set in my ways. And it’s disgusting. Get it off the table! The bathrooms will be less busy and everybody would have a better day. So, if you want to have a good Thanksgiving don’t cook macaroni and cheese.”
Get it off the table, and unless you want Judon to show you the physicality with which he dominants opposing linemen, certainly keep it off his plate.
“My whole family loves it, my brothers and sisters. Mom cooks it in a big pan, they know not to put it on my plate,” Judon concluded. “Or that’s fighting words. I’ll have to fight everybody in the house one by one. I’ll wait till they eat their macaroni and cheese, get sluggish and I’ll whoop ‘em!”
