The Red Sox' Opening Day lineup is out, and it features several new faces.
The one that fans are probably most excited to see is that of Masataka Yoshida, who will hit cleanup and play left field in his Red Sox regular-season debut. Yoshida, signed out of Japan in the offseason, is riding high after helping lead Japan to a World Baseball Classic title, hitting .409 with a 1.258 OPS and tournament-record 13 RBIs in seven games.
Other Boston debuts include designated hitter Justin Turner hitting third and center fielder Adam Duvall hitting fifth to round out a revamped middle of the order, with the Red Sox looking to replace the likes of Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez.
There will also be a new face on the mound, with veteran Corey Kluber making his sixth career Opening Day start, and his first start in a Red Sox uniform.
Thursday's season opener against the Baltimore Orioles can be heard on WEEI 93.7 FM, across the WEEI Shaw's Star Market Red Sox Network (find your local station here), online at WEEI.com and on the Audacy app if you're in New England (except for Fairfield County, Conn.).
