Terry Rozier is going to be sticking around Charlotte a little while longer.
The 27-year-old guard has reached an agreement on a four-year, $97 million contract extension with the Hornets, according to Stadium’s Shams Charania.
The deal makes Rozier one of the top-10 highest-paid guards in the NBA and keeps him with the Hornets through the 2025-26 season.
Rozier is coming off the best season of his career, in which he averaged 20.4 points, 4.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting a career-best 45% from the field.

Rozier, who was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the No. 16 overall pick in 2015, was dealt in a sign-and-trade to the Hornets in 2019 as part of the deal that brought Kemba Walker to Boston.
In his four seasons with the Celtics, Rozier averaged 7.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
The Hornets hope that a backcourt with the Youngstown, Ohio native and reigning Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball can lead Charlotte to its first playoff appearance since 2015-16 and first playoff series win in 19 years.
