Law enforcement told TMZ it's believed the actor suffered a medical emergency while driving in Hollywood Monday morning and crashed his car into the side of a building. Jordan was 67 years old.

Jordan is best known for his roles in Will & Grace, Hearts Afire and the American Horror Story franchise.

“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,” Jordan's agent David Shaul shared in a statement. “Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

In 2020 Jordan became a social media phenomenon, garnering 5.8 million Instagram followers, as he posted hilarious videos highlighting his bright personality that brought smiles and laughs to viewers through the uncertainty of the pandemic.

His social media fame opened up even more doors for Jordan who released his very own gospel album in 2021 titled, Company’s Comin’. The project features collaborations with some of Jordan’s biggest role models and music stars including Dolly Parton, Chris Stapleton, Tanya Tucker, Ashley McBryde, TJ Osborne of Brothers Osborne, Brandi Carlile and more.

Several celebs took to social media to express their grief surrounding the LGBTQ+ icon's unexpected passing. See some of their tributes below:
