SEPTA police looking for trio of women accused of assault, robbery

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — SEPTA police are looking for three women they said are wanted for an assault and robbery of another woman early Sunday morning.

According to SEPTA, the incident happened around 12:30 Sunday morning on a train heading westbound at the 15th Street Market-Frankford Line station.

Investigators said the victim got on the train and recognized one of the suspects from a social media dispute, who allegedly started harassing her while on board.

When the victim tried to get off the train, SEPTA police said she was confronted by the other women.

They said the victim was punched and sprayed with mace, and had her phone stolen.
