PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 17-year-old was shot and killed while walking out of a Chinese restaurant in Southwest Philadelphia early Friday morning.

Police say it happened around 12:45 a.m. at 61st Street and Buist Avenue.

Surveillance video shows the 17-year-old going into the store. While inside, someone placed a gun on the curb near a truck.

"A second suspect, wearing a black hoodie and a distinctive white patch, then picked up that gun from the ground next to the tire of that pickup truck and walked east toward the gunshot victim, who, at this point, was just leaving the Chinese food store with several items he had just purchased," explained Police Inspector D.F. Pace.

The video then shows the man firing four shots into the victim's head from point-blank range.

An investigation is ongoing.
