PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman driving an ATV died after a car crashed into her in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday night.
Police say the crash happened at 9 p.m. on State Road in Holmesburg, not far from the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility. A 2018 Kia Rio reportedly hit the ATV.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she died. She has been identified as 29-year-old Victoria Rose Walker.
Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC10 the ATV was not registered or street-legal.
According to Small, the woman and the group of riders she was with were driving northbound in the southbound lanes of State Road.
The driver of the Kia stayed at the scene. Their condition is not known. The other people on ATVs left when police arrived, Small told NBC10.
An investigation is ongoing.
