PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — SEPTA Transit Police are looking for a woman with a knife who harassed a 15-year-old girl on the way to school Thursday morning, spewing racial remarks at her as she rode the Broad Street Line.

Officials said the girl, who is of Asian descent, boarded a northbound train at about 6:50 a.m. at the Snyder Avenue stop.

At that time, the woman began making derogatory comments at her.

The teen continued to ride, getting off at the North Philadelphia stop. She then reported the incident to officers, who escorted her to school.

SEPTA said they are continuing to investigate the matter.
