If it’s felt like Citizens Bank Park has been significantly louder than any opposing stadium that the Philadelphia Phillies have played in this postseason, Bryson Stott says that has indeed been the case.
The rookie shortstop put in perspective how much louder it's been in Philadelphia in a postgame conversation with Destiny Lugardo of Phillies Nation Tuesday:
It should be noted that the roof at Minute Maid Park was closed for Games 1 and 2 in the World Series, which in theory should create an environment that's deafeningly loud.
But if Stott's words aren't enough, take it from someone who has covered each of the first three World Series games -- it was exponentially louder outside at Citizens Bank Park Tuesday than it was for either of the games in Houston.
The concept of home-field advantage can be overrated sometimes, but the Phillies are 6-0 this postseason at Citizens Bank Park. That can't be a coincidence.
