Donovan McNabb believes Dallas Goedert should be the Eagles' No. 2 option in the passing attack when A.J. Brown is healthy, with DeVonta Smith as the No. 3 option.
"He can move and he has great body control and hands," McNabb said on Monday's 94WIP Afternoon Show with Ike Reese, Spike Eskin and Jack Fritz. "We made it a point to get him involved...To be honest with you, Dallas has to be our second option if A.J. Brown is healthy and our third option being DeVonta. Not saying it has to be that way in the play calling every play, but you have to be able to showcase Dallas, so now it creates opportunities on the outside."
Goedert had a career high 170 yards receiving on 10 catches (on 11 targets) in Sunday's win over the Saints, the most receiving yards ever by a tight end in Eagles history.
