DeSean Jackson to Saquon Barkley: 'Philadelphia is greatest place to play'

Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was asked to give some advice to the team's new explosive running back Saquon Barkley.

"Philadelphia is first and foremost the greatest place to play," Jackson told Kay Adams on Up & Adams. "Just go play ball and focus on ball."

Jackson, 37, retired as a member of the Eagles last November. One of the NFL's greatest deep threats ever played for Philadelphia from 2008-2013 and then returned for a second stint in 2019-2020.

When asked about the Eagles' free-agency moves, Jackson said, "I tip my hat off to Howie. I posted yesterday on Twitter, Howie is the real goat man."

Jackson referred to how Roseman has managed to keep the total cap hit of Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley around $36 million compared to astronomical cap hits of NFC East QB's Dak Prescott ($59.4M) and Daniel Jones ($47M).

Roseman and the Eagles added Barkley, pass rusher Josh Huff, linebacker Zack Baun, offensive lineman Matt Hennessy, and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson so far in free-agency, while also extending and re-signing some of their own players.
