Eagles trade down twice, out of third round entirely in 2025 NFL Draft

The Eagles’ Day 2 ended a little later than expected, as they ended up with three later picks and a future asset instead of a player at No. 96.

First, the Birds acquired the No. 101 overall pick and a 2026 fifth-round pick from Atlanta, who moved up to No. 96 to select Notre Dame safety Xavier Watts.

When 101 came on the clock, though, it was Denver who made the pick, selecting LSU EDGE Sai’vion Jones. What had happened was another trade, with Philly giving Denver that selection in exchange for the No. 111 and 130 picks in Round 4 and the No. 191 pick in Round 6.

So, all in all, the Eagles added a fourth, a sixth, and a 2026 fifth to trade down 15 spots for their third pick.

The Birds now enter Saturday with seven picks; in addition to the three they added, they also have No. 134 in the fourth round and three fifth-round picks – Nos. 161, 165, and 168.
