Former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro defensive end Hugh Douglas says he is "willing to let Haason Reddick go."

"If you don't want to be here, you can't make anybody be here," Douglas said on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show. "It's one of those things, you got to be happy where you're playing. Money does make him happy."

Douglas' co-host Joe Giglio—and most of the Eagles' fan base—disagrees.

"I don't think they should trade him," Giglio said. "I understand he's probably a malcontent right now, he wants more money. I remember the conversation we had last summer, remember when he wasn't practicing?

"I'm looking at a defense right now that has, I don't know, three or four good players and he's one of them! So, I'm not trading away, he can be as unhappy as he wants. He's under contract."

Howie Roseman and the Eagles have a boatload of needs heading into the 2024 offseason, especially when it comes to the defensive side of the ball. Plus, 25-year-old ascending wide receiver DeVonta Smith is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

"The reality of the situation is, you're going to to have to go into free-agent and pay somebody," Douglas said. "Then you have to pay Skinny Batman. You've got a lot of money...And we have to do a better job of coaching these young cats, man. Everything we need in the offseason we're not going to be able to afford."

Just about five hours before Super Bowl LVIII began, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Reddick, the Eagles' top pass rusher, has received permission to seek a trade and "could land elsewhere."

Mike Garafolo added that Reddick is seeking a "big payday somewhere."

Reddick, 29, is entering the final year of his contract, a three-year, $45 million deal he signed with his hometown Philadelphia Eagles in March of 2022.

The Camden, NJ native had a career-high 16.0 sacks in 2022 and five forced fumbles, plus another 11.0 sacks in 2023. Reddick added 3.5 sacks in three playoff games during the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl last year.
