After batting .193 in March/April and then .223 in May, Nick Castellanos' recent hot streak has his average up to a semi-respectable .226 for the season now.
"I need to forgive Nick Castellanos," Jon Ritchie said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show. "He's been really good. The way that I feel is that every time he comes up to the plate, I am expecting like doom...That's where I am with him. And then low and behold, he continues to just bail us out. Last season, bailed us out when no one else was functioning offensively. It seems like he always has good games."
"How could he be batting .226 if he always has good games?" DeCamara argued. "Feels to me he's usually 0 for 4 and he's had a good week and a half.
"This is what he is, he is streaky," DeCamara continued. "That is what he is. He's a streaker."
"And more bad than good," James Seltzer added.
Castellanos is slashing .277/.303/.553 with 5 home runs and 16 RBI over his last 23 games.
