Philadelphia Eagle fans cannot wait to see the team's new offense with A.J. Brown lining up at wide receiver alongside of DeVonta Smith, arguably the most talented WR duo in franchise history.

But the one person who is the most excited about having the dynamic tandem is the man dialing up the plays for the offense, head coach Nick Sirianni.

"The defense has to make a decision—do I want to put my top corner on DeVonta or do I want to put my top corner on A.J.?" Sirianni told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Thursday morning, when asked about having Brown and Smith. "And as they go through that, you figure it out. Or do I just keep them right and left side, or boundary and field? That's a big decision they have to make and so naturally, when you have two guys that are like that—you throw it to both of them, but maybe that one team doesn't have a James Bradberry on one side and a Darius Slay on the other side, right? And they have a guy you deem a weak link and you can attack that with that guy.

"And then the other decision a defense has to make in those decisions are, 'OK well they're over there, do I want to just play two high safeties? And now you've got a run game that was ranked number one that you'll be able to expose."

Last season, the Eagles led the NFL in rushing yards per game and were second in total attempts, with 550, just one behind the Titans for the NFL lead and 33 ahead of the Ravens.

There is speculation that with Brown, Dallas Goedert ascending, and a more comfortable, experienced Jalen Hurts at quarterback, that Sirianni will throw the ball more often in 2022.

"All my secrets, I'm keeping everything in house," Sirianni said when asked about throwing the ball. "Why would I say anything? Because then the teams that we'll play are going to know something...But we're going to do what we think is best for us to win and of course the more balanced you are, the harder you are to defend. But you do what's best and you do what's best to win each game. We're going to be able to throw the ball, we have some great pieces in there, and I know we're going to be able to run it."
