Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni returned the favor to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers this week, predicting his team reaches the NBA Finals this Summer.
"Doc Rivers said that we would go to the Super Bowl, I say the Sixers go to the NBA Finals," Sirianni said this week at the NFL Owners' Meetings in Phoenix.
Of course, Rivers predicted the Eagles reach the Super Bowl in January and he was correct, although they ultimately fell short of their goal losing the game to the Chiefs.
The Phillies and the Union also lost in their respective championship games last season, so the Sixers losing in the NBA Finals would be in line with the way things are going in Philadelphia sports. However, most Sixers fans would sign up for a Finals loss right now if given the choice.
