Ranger Suarez pitches in front of wife and children for first time ever

For the first time ever, Ranger Suarez's wife and two children watched him pitched in person on Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.

Suarez, 28, is grew up in Pie de Cuesta, Venezuela. Suarez and his wife Joseany have known each other since they were kids.

Because she and Suarez were married last winter, Joseany and their two children (Sofia age 6 and Dominick age 3) now have Visas are living together in Philadelphia. They plan on attending as many games as possible, according to Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“He would always tell me the energy is incredible," Joseany said via Coffey on X. "That the fans are just different here compared to other teams. And now I can feel it in person. That’s why I was so excited to come here. I wanted to feel that energy.”

Suarez, who has become a fan favorite in Philadelphia, pitched 6.0 innings on Wednesday against the Padres, allowing six hits and just one earned run. After 15 starts this season, Suarez lowered his ERA to 1.75 and is one of the frontrunners to win the NL Cy Young Award.
