Alex Trebek is one of the most beloved television hosts of all time. So when he revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer a year ago it's no surprise he was met with a huge outpouring of support.
Today he gave fans a one year update on his health and it's pretty good news. He said typically only 18% of stage 4 pancreatic cancer patients make it to one year of survival. Trebek also revealed that there were many days during his chemo treatments that he felt like giving up but didn't because he felt that would be a "betrayal" to his family, friends, fans, and other cancer patients that were looking up to him for inspiration.
