New VA Law Prohibits Owners from Tethering Dogs Outside in Extreme Weather

You know the saying, "If you're hot, they're hot." A new Virginia law that went into effect on July 1st now prohibits dog owners from keeping their pets tethered outside in extreme weather.

This new law now protects dogs from being kept outside for extended periods of time when the temperature is 85 degrees and higher as well as 32 degrees and lower.
