Nike has announced that they are coming out with a shoe range designed with nurses and doctors (and anyone else on their feet all day) in mind.
After conducting product testing research sessions at Portland-based OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Nike learned that nurses walk approximately four to five miles and sit for less than an hour during the course of a 12-hour shift.
Using this info, they designed the Air Zoom Pulse. The Air Zoom Pulse will come in 7 different styles. However, 6 of the styles were designed by patients at the hospital where they did their research!
The shoes are expected to hit shelves on December 7th and proceeds from the sales of the 6 patient designed styles will benefit the hospital.
