Kane Brown has had a whirlwind past few years as it remains almost hard to believe his career is just in its infancy given how decorated he is as an artist.

Kane rolled into the 2021 CMA Awards with his first ever nominations as he’s up for Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
It’s another milestone for Brown as he used the opportunity during his conversation with Audacy’s Katie Neal to reflect on the advice that he would give to younger artists.
“Be yourself,” he said. "That was one of the things that I was always trying to do when I was coming up. I was searching for who I was supposed to be and now I’m like… Whatever,” Kane added with a laugh.
“If you like me you like me, if you don’t you don’t. That’s the best advice I could give.”
Kane also opened up about the feeling he gets when performing his electrifying new single “One Mississippi.”
“Our video wall is crazy, it can do so many different things. The sign that we have behind us says ‘One Mississippi,’ it looks like the music video so every time it comes up and the fiddle starts playing, everybody starts screaming,” he tells Neal.
“It’s such a good feeling, especially when it’s your new single and they’re not just cheering because they love the song. It’s like, ok this is a radio single and it’s getting positive, good feedback.”
See if Kane takes home some hardware during the 55th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan on November 10 at 8PM ET on ABC. Plus, be sure to catch his performance of his hit single “Famous Friends” alongside Chris Young.
