LISTEN NOW: Lainey Wilson reveals that her and HARDY's mothers have become fast friends
Ahead of the 57th Annual CMA Awards, Lainey Wilson caught up with US101’s Mo & Styckman and revealed her and HARDY’s moms have formed a close-knit bond after their Country-singing kin joined for the duet.
“My Mama and his Mama, they’re like the best of friends. They’re sittin’ together at the CMA Awards,” Lainey revealed before admitting they’d be “huggin’ it out” after any big wins.
“The other day I walked in and my Mama was gettin’ a recipe from somebody on the phone. I said, ‘Who was that?’ And she said, ‘Oh, that was HARDY’s mom,’” Lainey laughed before saying, “Me and HARDY don’t even talk like that! It’s like, ‘I’ll see ya when I see ya, brother.’”
Mama Wilson and Mama HARDY have a lot of celebrating to do as Lainey and HARDY took home two wins together with Lainey scoring an additional three in the Album of the Year, Female Vocalist, and Entertainer of the Year categories.
